Accreditation
NAEYC Accreditation
More than 20 years ago, NAEYC (National Association
for the Education of Young Children) created an
accreditation system to improve the quality of education and care provided
in programs for young children. NAEYC Accreditation has become the
mark of quality, helping parents find the best possible early childhood
experience.

Bethany Community School worked hard for months to attain this
accreditation, and now we are busting our buttons! NAEYC Accreditation
means that BCS’s program meets NAEYC’s 10 standards of excellence in
early childhood education. Programs that meet these standards provide a
safe and healthy environment for children, have teachers who are well-
trained, have access to excellent teaching materials, and work with
curriculum that is appropriately challenging and developmentally sound.
These programs are continuously improving themselves to provide the
best possible educational opportunities for children.
OKDHS Certification
Bethany Christian School has a two-star rating in the
Oklahoma DHS Reach for the Starts system.  To reach
a two-star certification, BCS teachers must receive
additional training in child development annually, have
an early childhood credential or degree with hours in
child development, have weekly lesson plans and interest areas to
facilitate a variety of activities, involve parents in a variety of ways, and read
to children daily.  In addition, BCS is nationally accredited.
